MAHUNGA CLUB GAMES SATURDAY’S PLAY. INTER-CLUB MATCH AT WEEKEND On account of the Masterton races there is no draw for Saturday’s play by members of the Mahunga Golf Club and players are requested to arrange their own partners for a Stableford bogey competition. An inter-club match with members of the Masterton Golf Club will be played at the weekend on the Lansdowne links, play to commence at 1 p.m. The following players will represent Mahunga: —G. R. Ward, R. B. McPherson, W. W. Hendry, A. E. Friend, S. L. Jenkins, C. Ryan, G. R. Beecroft, A. O. Jones, P. Hawksworth, H. M. O’Connor, C. Sutherland, J. P. Farrell, F. W. Lusty, W. Taylor, A. Welply, E. Earp, J. G. Heasley, W. Blennerhassett, E. Smith and J. Price. MASTERTON CLUB TEAM TO PLAY MAHUNGA. On Saturday a fourball bogey competition will be played and members are asked to ; arrange their own partners and opponents. The following team has been selected to play against Mahunga on the Lansdowne links during the weekend:—R. E. Baker, H. L. Esau, A. Lucas, C. Faulknor, G. F. Candy, J. Jameson, R. McKenzie, D. Herbertt, S. V. Playsted, F. Shearer, B. Bodie, C. K. Long, J. Futter, H. Brickman, R. R. Biirridgc, W. Kemble Welch, S. E. Burridge, K. McCalmont, V. Jones and G. Biss. Any player who is unable to take part is asked to advise the secretary immediately.
The following is the draw for the Masterton ladies’ golf club senior championship:—Mrs N. H. Prior and Mrs R. H. Plummer; Mrs R. R. Burridge and Mrs H. Marshall; Mrs J. C. Forsyth and Mrs F. Fenwick; Mrs P. F. Fagan and Mrs A. J. Drew. Junior championship: Mrs R. T. Stewart and Miss P. Jameson; Miss E. M. King and Mrs A. McGregor; Miss B. Turner and Mrs F. Whyte; Mrs S. V. Playsted and Mrs V. E. Burridge. Bogey competition: Miss D. Allan and Mrs B. P. | Ferry; Mrs S. E. Burridge and Miss M. McGregor; Mrs I. B. Knell, Mrs G. Biss and Mrs S. Lamb. RIVERSIDE CLUB RE-HANDICAPS ANNOUNCED. A bogey aggregate round will be iplayed on Saturday by members of the Riverside Golf Club. Players are to arrange their own partners. Re-handicaps: J. Buttress, 10/8; W. Gilliland, 12/9; Mrs Brown, 16/12; Mrs Wells, 25/19; R. Harman, 20/15.
