Many members, owing to other duties, were unable to play, but they had all paid their subscriptions. The general feeling was to keep the club going till the service men returned. Twenty-three club members were overseas, sixteen being in the Army, two in the Air Force and five in -the Navy. One member, Mr. Roy Ingley, had made the supreme sacrifice, and the club expressed its sympathy with his parents.
