CRUISER SHROPSHIRE. REPLACING LOST CANBERRA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA, October 7. The Shropshire, Britain’s gift to the Royal Australian Navy to replace the lost Canberra, is now in service. Regarded as a valuable addition to Australia’s cruiser strength, she is ocommanded by Captain Collins, who in the Sydney sank the powerful Italian cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni. The Shropshire underwent an extensive refit before joining the Australian Navy.
