SPRING CATTLE FAIR

PRICES AT MASTERTCN YESTERDAY. The Associated Auctioneers held their first spring cattle fair in the Masterton saleyards yesterday, when they offered a yarding of approximately 15UU head of station cattle. Considering the season most of the cattle came forward in better order than was expected and a very good sale, well up to vendors’ expectations, resulted. Buyers were operating from outside districts and took a fair proportion of the yarding. A small offering of fat cattle came forward and was keenly sought after by the local butchers.
