OF AMERICAN CARGO PLANES CONVEYING WAR MATERIALS TO CHINA (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 6. American cargo planes flying to China often carry presents for the lady friends of Chinese politicians instead of ammunition, declared Senator Lodge, in a speech. He added: “It is time the United States stopped this sugary propaganda.” Senator Lodge also said that American airmen in China are shocked to learn that the Chinese army in South China sells tungsten to the Japanese.
