WEDDING

POLGLASE—CRAIG. A pretty wedding was celebrated on Saturday at the Gospel Hall, Queen Street, Masterton, when Margaret Cummins, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Craig, Masterton, was married to Herbert Horace, third son of Mrs. M. and the late Mr. Polglase, of Hamilton. The ceremony was conducted by Mr. R. H. Brewerton, and Mr J. Lienert presided at the organ. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride was escorted by her father, and wore a charming gown of ivory satin with high waist line and circular trained skirt, the beautiful embroidered veil (kindly lent by a friend) was held in place with a coronet of velvet orchids. The bride carried a sheaf of white lilac, heather, magnolias and camelias. The bridesmaids were Miss Letia Brown (chief), niece of the bride, and Miss Rena Polglase, sister of the bridegroom. They wore hyacinth blue satin frocks cut on lines similar to that of the bride with head dress of blue and pink velvet flowers. They carried sheafs of pink tulips and blossom. The flower-girls, Ann and Heather Brown, nieces of the bride, wore long pink satin frocks cut on princess lines with pink and blue head dress and carried posies of blue anemonies, hyacinths and forget-me-nots. The bridegroom was attended by Leading Stoker Reginald Ingram as best man and Mr. Trevor Polglase as groomsman. . K At the reception held subsequently, the guests were received by Mrs. J. Craig, mother of the bride, who was attired in a black and white ensemble with shoulder spray, and Mrs. M. Polglase, who was dressed in a blue frock with navy embossed coat and shoulder spray. lire three-tiered wedding cake was made by Mrs. D. Brown, sister of the bride, and iced and decorated by Misses Edith Needham and Letia Brown. When Signalman and Mrs. Polglase left for the north by car the latter wore a charming frock of powder blue with camel hair coat to tone and navy accessories. The bride, who is a nurse at the Taumarunui Hospital, will continue her career there.
