ADMITTED BY YOUNG BUYER FOR WOOLWORTHS. JUDGMENT ENTERED FOR COMPANY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. As a sequel to the prosecution of Raymond John Watts for offences involving dishonesty while he was employed as a buyer by Woolworths, Ltd., a writ was issued recently against him by the company, claiming £17,610. A defence was filed and an amended statement of claim for £lO,OOO was then put in. Watts confessed judgment for this amount, and the company agreed to take judgment on that confession in Chambers. Mr Justice Johnston entered judgment in terms of the confession.
