Meachen, Labour, increased his majority by 22 in the official count for the Marlborough seat, which resulted:—Meachen (Labour), 5729; T. P. Shand (National), 5360; M. W. Grace (Democratic Labour), 541; A. Mackinnon (Conservative), 49; informal, 74. Majority for Meachen, 369.
