STATE THEATRE

4 “MARRIAGE ON ICE.” Tonight there will be shown what the management describe as “a grand, gay, glittering ice extravaganza” —“Marriage on Ice.” The picture stars America’s queen of the silver skates, Sonja Henie, with her romantic partner of “Sun Valley Serenade” John Payne, and the popular Jack Oakie, Osa Massen and Joan Merrill. It is a brilliant “film-musical” that is delightful entertainment for all. The music is of the type that will quickly become popular, and is supplied by Sammy Kaye and his orchestra. On Sunday night the outstanding drama, “I Was an Adventuress” will be shown to service men and their guests.
