WORTHY TRIBUTE
TO LATE SERGEANT MAUNSELL BY WING COMMANDER IN ENGLAND. The Air Department has notified Mr L. B, Maunsell, of Masterton, that information received from the International Red Cross Committee stated that the grave of his son, Sergeant Leslie Cormac Maunsell, had been located in the military cemetery at Venlo in Holland, and that it would be well cared for. The wing commander in England, under whom the late Sergeant Maunsell served, in the course of a letter to Mr Maunsell, stated:—“Cormac had only been with us a week or so but, during this short time, he had shown himself to be most efficient and capable in his job. His loss will leave a gap which will be most difficult to fill. During the short time he was with us he rapidlj became popular with his colleagues, and we would desire to express to you our very deepest sympathy.”
