MASTERTON RACING CLUB. SUCCESSFUL MEETING PREDICTED. The opinion that given, fine weather the forthcoming race meeting at Opaki would be the most successful yet held on the course has been expressed by the Opaki trainer-owner, Mr T. R. George. He said that from the trainer’s point of view the course was in wonderful order. Great improvements had been made in the appointments which were all that could be desired. He stated that at the meeting he would produce the youngster Beau Cheval, a colt by Coronach—Rivenella, a youngster by Siegfreid—Garaboul, and Sir Croupier. Kindergarten Likely Visitor. It is stated that there is a possibility of Kindergarten running at the Masterton Racing Club’s meeting as a preparation for the champion’s race in the Harcourt Stakes at the Wellington meeting.
