St. Barbe Holland at St John’s Church, which was filled for the occasion. The Bishop’s address was very inspiring. He was assisted by the Rev J. R. Higgs. Bishop Holland was the guest of Mr Higgs during his stay in Featherston. GOLF j ’ t JEFFREY TROPHY CONTEST 1 i The following is the result of the 1 competition for the Jeffrey trophy < played yesterday afternoon: —Mrs Pope £ defeated Mrs McGill, Miss Williams defeated Mrs Elbe; Mrs Donald defeated 1 Mrs Batchelor. ' * The medal competition resulted: Mrs J Donald 1, Miss Williams 2, Mrs Pope 3. * i i SERVICE CLUB t EUCHRE PARTY WINNERS 1 I There was a good attendance at the < Service Club’s euchre party on Tuesday J night. The prize winners were: P. Habib 1, Mrs Baker 2. ’ A “mystery envelope” was won by Miss Ruane. COSY THEATRE NEW PROGRAMME. A new programme containing an excellent, series of pictures will be shown V at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night.
