AIR FORCE RELATIONS

+ MEETING OF COMMITTEE. ASSISTANCE ACKNOWLEDGED. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee, the following members were present: Mesdames Lord (in the chair), H. Rishworth, A. Harcombe, S. J. Gill, P. Nathan, Adams Jones, J. Wright, and Miss Patrick. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs J. A. Betts and Miss Carey. It was reported that during the month woollen comforts were issued to the Masterton station. These included one hundred pullovers, 75 pairs of mittens, some scarves and Cranwell jerseys. After the meeting the committee packed 3 small cases of tinned food for England. Air Force Relations now send the monthly cases of tinned foods to the N.Z. War Services’ Association in London. The tins are distributed by the official visitor to New Zealanders in hospital. Letters of appreciation have been received from the secretary of the N.Z. War Services’ Association in this connection. Sellar, Sydney Smith, Tinui Knitting Circle, Te Bay, D. Thompson, Wardell, J. Wright, Wood, T. F. Watson and G. C. Williams, Misses E. Baird, Butement, Patrick, E. Carey, B. Vallance, W. Nicholls, Fawcett, McEachen, Ashwell, Pearce, Cruickshank and J. Lett. Parcels of comforts, knitted garments or tinned food may be sent to any member of the committee, or left at the offices of Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Perry Street. The parcels will bo packed and forwarded to Wellington on the 20th of each month.
