SOCIAL GATHERING
TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD.
AN EXCELLENT PROGRAMME.
The Masterton Townswomen’s Guild held its annual social gathering in the Savage Club rooms last night when there was a large audience. An excellent programme was presented. The members of the Singing Circle under the leadership of Miss Dorothy O’Donnell, with Mrs Barns at the piano, were in splendid voice, and credit must be extended to Mrs Jarvis as leader of the Drama Circle for the latter’s fine performance. Items were given by Mrs Barns and Miss Worrall (duet), Singing Circle, Garden Circle (sketch), Miss O’Donnell (song), Mrs Jarvis (violin solo). Misses Betty Jones and Joan Naan (dance), with Mrs Miller Hope at the piano, Mrs McMinn (song), Mr and Mrs Miller Hope (piano duct), Mesdames Snowsill and Shouler (sketch), Drama Circle, Mesdames Jarvis and Watson (sketch).
Supper was served and was followed by a dance, the music being supplied by Mr S. Taylor (violin), and Mesdames Douglas and Snowsill.
