MAURICEVILLE

WOMEN’S DIVISION KIDDIES’ CARNIVAL. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most enjoyable time was spent at a gathering held in connection with the candidature of the East representative in the Kiddies’ Carnival. Games were played and much amusement was provided by the auctioning of surprise packages. A home-made supper provided by the ladies’ committee was much appreciated and thanks were passed to Mr and Mrs McGovern for their hospitality. Fishing Season. The fishing season will open on October I and the local Acclimatisation Society’s ranger has expressed the hope that local fishermen will experience a good season.
