MASTERTON STOCK SALE
FAT EWES IN DEMAND. At the Masterton stock sale this morning there was a keen demand for fat ewes. For the few fat wethers that were offered there were no buyers. It was mentioned by several farmers at the sale that the pastures were coming away very well and there was again a good sole of grass. Prices for fat ewes were 29s Id, 29s (good), and 16s 9d (mediums).
