The annual report, which was adopted, stated inter alia:—A feature of the year’s work has been the enthusiasm displayed by our lady collectors who were determined to exceed the record collection of last year. In spite of adverse conditions due to the war they were greatly encouraged by the general recognition of the world-wide ‘work being carried out by the society among soldiers, sailors, and airmen. It Was pleasing to record that they were able to achieve their object by collecting the sum of £l6B 6s 7d, as compared with £l6O 4s last year. Thanks were '-expressed to the president. Mrs J. MacRae, and to branch presidents and secretaries for their ever ready help and co-operation, to collectors for their unitiring efforts and faithful service in this great cause.
