I WISH to sincerely thank all those who voted for me on election day, and also the many friends and supporters who worked so hard to secure a victory on Saturday. I also thank all who loaned cars and in this and in other ways, in all parts of the electorate, did splendid service. Our cause meets with reverses, but is never defeated. Peculiar circumstances this time caused the reverse. There is nothing to regret or to be ashamed of in the clean fight that was waged, and I thank everyone for maintaining our prestige, even though I was unsuccessful on this occasion. J. ROBERTSON.
