LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST I CLOUDY TO OVERCAST. WITH SLOW IMPROVEMENT. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds. Weather cloudy to overcast, with occasional showers, but improving slowly. Temperatures cool. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Becoming fair. The Waingawa Sub-Station P.W.D. reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperaturemaximum 56, minimum 44; terrestrial, 44; rain, 121 points. Mr H. M.
