PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Miss Donald, “Tarureka,” has returned from a visit to Napier where' she was the guest of Miss Thompson. The congregation of the local Presbyterian Church entertained Miss Jean Hardie, who is to be married shortly at a social gathering. The Rev. H. Bloomfield, who presided, referred to the excellent work Miss Hardie had carried out as a Sunday School teacher during the past ten years, and Mrs Arch Clark spoke of her splendid service as organist. Miss Hardie was presented with a cheque. Musical items were given by Misses A. and R. Fellingham, H. Kilpatrick and N. Benton and Mrs Skipage. The programme was arranged by Mrs Arch Clark, who also played the accompaniments. Patriotic Fund The Featherston District Patriotic Committee acknowledge a donation of £25 (additional) to the Patriotic Fund from Mrs L. E. Barton. The district’s quota is still £452 short. COSY THEATRE TWO BIG FEATURES. There will be two big features presented tonight. “Kisses for Breakfast” is an outstanding comedy featuring Dennis Morgan, Shirley Ross and Jane Wyatt. “What’s Cookin’?” is a brilliant musical show featuring Jane Frazee, Robert Paige and Gloria Jean.
