LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST CLOUDY & MISTY. WITH MILD TEMPERATURES. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Light to moderate winds, freshening at times in exposed places. Cloudy, and in places misty, with occasional drizzle or rain. Temperatures mild FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair. The Waingawa sub-station P.W.D. reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday: —Shade temperature, maximum 60, minimum 54; terrestrial, 49.5. The Waingawa sub-station reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum 58, minimum 49; terrestrial, 48.5; rain, 34 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 11 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. on Saturday and 32 points for a similar period ended this morning. PHASES OF THE MOON. SEPTEMBER.
