YOUNG WOMAN FALLS UNDER TRAIN. DEATH IN HOSPITAL FROM INJURIES (By Telegraph—Press' Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. When she fell under a moving train at the Wellington Railway Station on Saturday afternoon, Miss Gwynedd Richards, 8.A., received shocking injuries from which she died in the Wel-lington-Hospital early yesterday morning. Miss Richards, who was 23 years of age, was an enthusiastic worker in the Labour movement, and was in the habit of selling “The People’s Voice” at the railway station in her spare time. On Saturday afternoon she was selling papers on the 4 o’clock train to Paekakariki and the train apparently was well under way before she realised it was moving. She was seen to jump from a carriage to the platform, fall on her face and roll over the edge. Apparently at least one carriage passed over her and she was dragged about 40 feet. One leg was almost severed between the ankle and knee, and she received extensive injuries to her body. She was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance and died at 4.25 a.m. yesterday. Miss Richards resided at 238 The Terrace and was employed by the Waterfront Control Commission. Her parents live in Rotorua;
