TWO-DAY TERM
LABOUR PREMIER RESIGNS IN VICTORIA. DISSOLUTION REFUSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) MELBOURNE, September 15. The Premier, Mr Cain, has resigned after his Labour Government had been in office for two days. The resignation followed the refusal of the Governor of Victoria to grant a dissolution as the result of the Government’s defeat in the House by a combination of the United Australia Party and the Country Party. Mr Dunstan, the former Premier, will form a composite United Australia Party-Country Party Ministry.
