PERSONAL

The death occurred yesterday at Palmerston North of Mr Albert Henry Cox, formerly of the Eketahuna district, at the age of 65 years. Councillor W. I. Armstrong has been a member of the Masterton County Council for 27 years, not 16 years as was stated on Wednesday. He was elected to the council in 1916. “The Wairarapa Bowling Centre offers its sincere thanks to the Masterton, Park, and Carterton clubs for the use of their greens and to our hon. auditor, Mr F. Roberts. To our hon. secretary. Mr Harold Smith, I offer the thanks of you all for his excellent services,” states Mr Geo. Hayne, president of the Wairarapa Bowling Centre, in his annual report.
