MASTERTON SALE. FAT SHEEP PRICES EASIER. The Wairarapa Stock and Station Agents’ Association report as follows on their Masterton sale yesterday:—A small yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle came forward. In the former section the fats although of better quality, showed an easing tendency. A nice line of w.w. hoggets met with spirited competition, realising 255. Ewes with lambs at foot sold at late rates. The cattle submitted consisted mostly of cows, r.w.b. They lacked condition which reflected on the prices realised. The following are the prices:— Fat sheep: Fat Down wethers. 40s 3d; fat wethers, 39s 6d, 38s to 35s to 32s 6d; prime fat ewes, 295; fat ewes, 255; fat hoggets, 25s 6d; fat shorn hoggets, 2s lOd. Store sheep: W.W. hoggets, small, 13s; ewes with lambs at foot, 15s, 13s Bd, 12s 7d to 10s 3d, all counted. Pigs: Weaner pigs, 20s. Cattle: P.A. cows, r.w.b. (P. and H. bull), £4 14s. £4 8s; Hereford cows, r.w.b. <P. and H. bull). £4 7s. £4 ss: light conditional, £3 5s to £2 19s; P.A. heifers, r.w.b. (P.A. and H. bulls), £4 17s, £5 3s.
