Mr J. G. McFarlane, of Masterton, has received from his son an interesting programme of a race meeting held by service men in an island occupied by New Zealand troops. The meeting appears to have been a very successful one for many of the service men from a financial point of view and thoroughly enjoyed. The pedigrees of many of the horses as they appeared in the “correct card” make amusing reading.
