OBITUARY
♦ MRS A. L. STEMPA The death occurred in Masterton on Monday afternoon of Mrs Amy Louisa Stempa, wife of Mr J. Stempa, of Kaituna. The late Mrs Stempa was born in Wellington and resided for the greater part of her life in the Wairarapa. She took a keen interest in district affairs and was a vice-president of the Kaituna Women’s Institute. The late Mrs Stempa was held in high esteem for her sterling personal qualities. Of a generous and genial nature she made friends wherever she went and her death will be deeply regretted. The late Mrs Stempa is survived by her husband, a brother, Mr H. Birch (Hastwells) and two sisters, Mesdames Birch Johnston (Inglewood) and A. Benbow (Wellington). The funeral took place in Masterton this afternoon.
