FOR INVASION OF BURMA. OPINION OF AMERICAN AIR OFFICER (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, September 12. “Thfe time is ripe to invade Burma. I should like to sell that idea to a lot of people,” said Colonel Combs, commander of an American air task force in India, in a statement in New Delhi. He added: “The operations hitherto conducted against the Japanese in occupied Burma will show a dividend when we make a move.”
