RUSSIANS AT THE GATES OF BRYANSK RAILWAY JUNCTIONS SEIZED ON OUTSKIRTS. DRIVE ON KIEV CONTINUES. / LONDON, September 13. Russian forces are at the ' gates of Bryansk. Soviet troops, have captured two junctions in the Bryansk railway system on the outskirts of the city. A Soviet communique reports an advance of seven to ten miles in this area, where more than 30 villages have been occupied. The two railway junctions are only 2| miles south-east of the town. On the Sea of Azov, the Red Army continues to develop its offensive west of Stalino.' An advance of four to nine miles is recorded and 90 inhabited places have been occupied, including the district centre. The district centre is also among 70 places captured in another sector south-west of Bryansk. East of Kiev, the Russians have advanced seven to eight miles and taken 150 villages. Similar successes are reported north-west of Bryansk, where the Russians have advanced three to five miles and occupied over 40 places.
