“SCRIM” BEFORE PETER FRASER. “If I had to vote between ‘Scrim’ and Peter Fraser, ‘Scrim’ would get my vote,” said Mr G. H. Mackley, when answering an interjector at the Central School last night. . Mr Scrimgeour, said Mr Mackley, had had a raw deal from the Government. “The Scrimgeour incident, ne said, “will not bear repetition. It stinks to high heaven.” He added that the Government did not get the record it was looking for. The Government was after another record .taken in a certain mining area. A miner was l et tmg off steam good and hearty, and the operator pressed the button. That record was taken back to Wellington more as a joke, but it was not to the credit or advantage of the Laboui Party, and that record was lost. That was the record the Government was after, he said. _ . Later, in answer to an interjector, Mr Mackley said he did not consider Mr Scrimgeour a suitable person to take charge of the broadcasting service.
