MASTERTON CLUB. RACE FROM TAUMARUNUI. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held a successful race from Taumarunui (an airline distance of 145 miles) , at the week-end. The weather conditions were fair, with a slight easterly breeze blowing. i 1 I ; The results were as follow: —W. Gardner’s “Importation,” 1166 yards per minute, 1; A. Pinkney’s “The Clipper,” 1164 yards per minute, 2; J. Mayes’s “Royal Chief.” 1021 yards per minute, 3; J. Mayes’s “Fairy,” 1020 yards pei’ minute, 4'; I. Mayes’s “Beau Reliance,” 1019 yards per minute, 5; R. Stewart and Son’s “Rain Storm,” 1017 yards per minute, 6.

The next race will be from Waiouru (an airline distance of 104 miles).
