SERVICE APPEALS

SITTING OF WAIRARAPA BOARD MASTERTON & DISTRICT CASES. NUMBER OF ADJOURNMENTS. The Wairarapa Armed Forces Appeal Board commenced a sitting in Masterton this morning. The chairman, Mr R. R. Burridge, presided and there were also present Messrs L. T. Daniell and F. Cole (members of the board) and G. F. Whitlock, secretary and Crown representative. Mr R. W. Kebbell appeared for the Primary Production Council. In the following cases the name of the person lodging the appeal is given in parentheses: Adjourned sine die: Gordon McLaughlin, farmer (District Public Trustee); Thomas Leadbitter, farmer (District Public Trustee); Allah William Morris, shepherd (D. James, sheepfarmer); Bruce Alexander Evernden, tractor driver (P. J. Borthwick). Adjourned to next sitting: Avon Cecil Tatton, motor mechanic (reservist & Tatton Bros., Ltd.); Alexander A. Burt, farm hand (Director of National Service).
