Prayer Circle Meeting.
There was a large and representative attendance at a meeting of the Women’s Prayer Circle held in the Knox Hall, Masterton, yesterday afternoon. Miss M. McGregor conducted the service. National Party Campaign. Another successful meeting was held by Mr G. H. Mackley, National Party candidate, when he addressed the electors of Putara yesterday afternoon. Mr Mackley was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Independent Candidate. Speaking to the electors at Wangaehu last night, Captain Justin Power, Independent candidate for the Masterton seat, stated, in reply to a question, that if he was elected he would de'finitely reside in Masterton and would make his Parliamentary duties a fulltime occupation. This announcement was greeted with applause. Captain Power will speak at the Masonic Hall, 'Masterton, tomorrow night at 8.15 o’clock. Air Training Corps. The weekly routine orders for No. 21 Squadron, Air Training Corps, Masterton, state inter alia: —Parades: A and B Flights: Monday, September 13, at 6.50 p.m. at the Wairarapa College, Masterton; Thursday, September 16, at 6.50 p.m., at the A.T.C.
