VISITING WEST AFRICA.
SWIFT JOURNEY IN LIBERATOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 10. A Transport Command Liberator, carrying Viscount Swinton, resident Minister in West Africa, and Colonel Oliver Stanley, the Colonial Secretary, this morning completed the first nonstop flight from Britain to West Africa, 3150 miles in 15 hours 58 minutes. Lord Swinton is returning after a brief visit to London for consultations. Colonel Stanley is visiting West Africa to gain first hand knowledge of the West African war effort.
