The following official weatner report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Light to moderate variable winds, with easterly direction predominating. Weather cloudy, with scattered morning mist or drizzle. Temperatures moderate, FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. The Waingawa Sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, 49.1; minimum, 34.3; terrestrial, 29.4; sunshine, 9 hours 48 minutes; frost, 1 degree. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 2 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. SEPTEMBER.
