STATE THEATRE
“JUST OFF BROADWAY” The mystery thriller “Just Off Broadway” will .be shown tonight, being one of the pictures in a double bill of exceptional merit, providing thrills and laughs. The chief role is taken by Lloyd Nolan, who has an outstanding part providing plenty of thrills. Other characters are ably portrayed by Marjorie Weaver, Phil Silvers and Janis Carter. Merle Berle is seen in “Whispering Ghosts,” as a “dippy dick on a horror ship,” which provides rounds of laughter as well as thrills. Brenda Joyce, John Shelton and John Carradine are also very much in the picture.
