OBITUARY

MR REGINALD McKENNA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, September 6. The death has occurred at the age of 80, of the Rt. Hon. Reginald McKenna, P.C. Mr McKenna was a member of the House of Commons from 1895 to 1918. He became Financial Secretary to the Treasury in 1905 and afterwards was successively President of the Board of Education. First Lord of the Admiralty, Home Secretary and Chancellor of the Exchequer (holding the last-mentioned office until 1916). Since 1919, Mr McKenna had been chairman of the Midland Bank Ltd.
