RATE COLLECTION
MASTERTON BOROUGH FIGURES. The percentage of rates collected by the Masterton Borough Council up to yesterday, the last day for discount, was 89.3 per cent as compared with 89 per cent at the corresponding date in 1942, 88 per cent in 1941 and 87 per cent in 1940. The total levy this year was £40,100 of which £33,970 has been paid by discount day and a sum of £lBOO allowed in discount. . x
