96,000 TONS OF BOMBS

DROPPED ON GERMANY IN FOURTH YEAR OF WAR. LONDON, September 2. It is announced that in the fourth year of the war, which ends tonight, the Bomber Command dropped 96,000 tons of bombs on Germany. This is nearly double the weight of bombs dropped by the R.A.F. on Germany in the three previous years put together.
