HOCKEY

GAMES AT LANSDOWNE. WAIRARAPA v. WELLINGTON. Tomorrow afternoon at Lansdowne, two games of hockey will be staged which promise to provide the spectators with plenty of thrills. At 1.45 o’clock the Wellington and Wairarapa ladies’ junior teams will meet, each combination possessing players above the usual junior standard. The Wairarapa and Wellington senior ladies’ teams will meet at 2 o’clack in a contest which should give those present an excellent idea of how. the game should be played. Wellington is reputed to have some brilliant players in its ranks and, consequently, Wairarapa should find the task of defeating the visitors a hard one.
