START TO BE MADE AFTER WAR WHERE PRELIMINARY WORK WAS LEFT OFF. STATEMENT BY MINISTER OF WORKS. “The Rimutaka tunnel project has not been forgotten. It is down on our programme for action and after the war a start will be made from where the preliminary work was left off.”—This statement was made by the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, when he gave public address in Greytown last night. The question of the tunnel was raised by the Wairarapa Labour candidate, Mr Ben Roberts.
