The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh north-westerly winds. A few showers about the ranges tonight. Weather otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures rather cooler tomorrow. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. The Waingawa sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum, 62.4; minimum, 32.5; terrestrial, 25.8; sunshine, 10 hours 24 minutes; frost, 4.6 degrees.
