MEETINGS IN WASHINGTON.

(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) RUGBY, August 30.

The Canadian Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King), with members of the Canadian War Committee, today left Ottawa to see Mr Churchill. President Roosevelt, since his return to Washington from Quebec, has had a scries of conferences described by his secretary (Mr Stephen Early) as “postQuebec conferences.” Mr Roosevelt met Dr. T. V. Soong, the Chinese Foreign Minister and later consulted with the United States Army and Army Air Corps Chiefs of Staff. Mr Eden today attended a War Cabinet meeting in London.
