HARRIER ACTIVITIES

KIATERE CLUB. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY K. GREAVES. On Saturday in ideal conditions the Kiatere Harrier Club held its annual 24 mile junior championship. K. Greaves ran a splendid race to win comfortably from Alan Pickett with Eric Pickett third.

Detailed results are as follows: —Ken Greaves, 17.405ec5., 1; Alan Pickett, 18.55, 2; Eric Pickett, 19.22, 3. The seniors held a friendly run over a distance of 4 miles with a run-in over the last J-mile. The first man home was W. McDonald, closely followed by J. Maunsell with G. Hayes third and C. Summers fourth.

Next Saturday a hares and hounds novelty race will be held and a good attendance is requested. Tire event will start at 2.30 p.m.
