NO HAVEN IN TURKEY
FOR AXIS WAR CRIMINALS. REPLY TO ALLIED NOTES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, August 22. Turkey has replied to the British, American and Russian notes warning neutral countries against harbouring war criminals, says an Ankara message. The text of the reply has not been released. but Turkey is believed to have said that she is not prepared to surrender her rights under international law. However, she gave an assurance tn..t war criminals would not findli haven in Turkey.
