AT CARTERTON SALE YESTERDAY. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on the Carterton sale yesterday:—A medium yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward. Prices were on a par with late rates and practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer. '1 he following arc- some of the realisations:- — Sheep' Fat wethers, 34s Gd to 355; fat hoggets, 24s to 28s Id; light fat wethers, 27s to 1:8s; fat ewes, to 20s; small b.f. hoggets, to 9s id; small wether hoggets. 10s to lGs: small ewe hoggets, to Ils; ewes, r.w. S.D. ram. to 15c. Cattle: Choice 2-yr. Jersey heifers, on drop £lO to £lO 15s; springing 2-yr. Jersey heifers, £3 ss, £4, £5, £5 ss. £G ss, £6 10s to £7 10s: springing Jersey cows. £2 ss, £L' £5, £6 £7 10s. £7 15s to £8: Jersey heifers, just calved £3 to £6 15s: fat cows. £5 to £5 10s; forwards cows. £3 to £4 15s: sto’-c cows, £2 to £2 16s; cull cows. 15s to 38s; bulls, to £4 15s. Pigs: Forward stores, £2’los to £3 2s Gd: stores, £2 to £2 ss: choppers 10s. 17s Gd to 37s Gd: weaners. good. 26 j. 28s. 30s. 32s to 335: weaners. medium, 18s Gd, 80s.
