SCOUTS AND CUBS

MO KATOA PACK. There was a good attendance at the weekly parade of the Mo Katoa Cubs, at which enjoyable games were played and compass instruction was the chief matter. The pack engaged in other Cub work in view of the competition against the Carterton pack at Carterton. During the week Cub P. Fantham and Sixers K. Camden. D. Olson, and D. Corry passed their first-aid proficiency badge examination. At the usual parade of the Mo Katoa Boy Scouts, games and scout work were indulged in. District Commissioner Higginson was present, together with the Eketahuna Scoutmaster and troop leader, and St. Matthew’s troop leaders. They were suitably welcomed. The parade closed after a basketball tournament between teams selected from the visitors and the troop.
