Things seen in Lyons.—A cafe full of apparently heedless people. Suddenly a man rushes out of the door. Two others follow him, two Germans in plain clothes. A sharp, whip-crack report. People look at one another, hardly yet able to believe their eyes and ears. Yes. Men of the Gestapo have killed a Frenchman on a public thoroughfare in the heart of Lyons. A trolley rolls up, carries away the corpse. “Move along here!” says a French policeman.— “Franc-Tireur,” French clandestine newspaper.
