NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by “The River Boards Act, 1908,” “The Rating Act, 1925,”’ and the respective amendments thereof, and any other power or authority it enabling in that behalf, it is the intention of the Ahikouka River Board, at a Special Meeting to be held in the Board’s Office, Main Street, Greytown, at 11 a.m. on SATURDAY, the 4th day of September, 1943, to strike and levy a General Rate upon the Unimproved Value of Classified Rateable property within the Ahikouka River Board District, for the period April 1, 1943, to March 31, 1944, in the following proportions:— A General Rate of l.jd in the £ upon all lands classified as “A.” A General Rate of Jd in the £ upon all lands classified as “B” (being one half of the rate upon all lands classified as “A,” and that no rates be imposed on the lands classified as “D.” That a rebate of 5% (five per centum) shall be allowed on so much of the said rate as is paid within thirty days of due date hereof. That the above rates shall be due and payable in one sum at the Board’s Office, Main Street, Greytown, on MONDAY, the 6th day of September, 1943, and that the Valuation Roll and Rate Book are open for inspection at the Board’s office during office hours.
