NINE ENEMY PLANES
DESTROYED ON TUESDAY NIGHT. SIX DURING RAIDS ON BRITAIN. (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, August 18. Large forces of R.A.F. heavy bombers crossed to the Continent soon after the blackout last night. A Swiss report says Turin was attacked again. Nine enemy planes were destroyed last night, six in raids against Britain and three near their bases in enemyoccupied territory. •
